While TAC-California wraps up its one-week High School Summer Program, the entire community at TAC-New England is busily preparing for the start of its two-week program on July 7!

Student workers have been readying rooms with fresh linens, stocking up the dining commons with delicious snacks, and grooming the grounds for two weeks of study and fun. Members of the teaching faculty are meeting to formulate opening questions for the classroom discussions about the Great Books. And the Admissions team has been assembling packets of texts to greet the high schoolers when they arrive, featuring authors such as Euclid, Flannery O’Connor, Plato, and, of course, St. Thomas Aquinas.

Meanwhile, the Western Massachusetts summer is reaching its peak, with dark-green trees offering welcome shade, and summer flowers blooming everywhere. “We can’t wait,” says Admissions Director John Jost. “It should be glorious.”

Although the program is almost full, there are a few open spots still remaining. If you are a rising high school senior, it’s not too late — turn in an application while there are still openings! As Admissions Counselor Jean Guerreiro puts it, “I’ve been working on these programs for seven years, and I’ve not yet met someone who regretted coming.”

We hope to see you July 7 in Northfield!
