Stuents arrive at the California High School Summer Program

Early this afternoon, the 2022 California Great Books High School Summer Program commenced, with students arriving on campus from across the country and beyond. As buses pulled into the lot behind the St. Thérèse Residence Hall, Summer Program prefects — TAC students and alumni — enthusiastically greeted the attendees, welcoming them to Santa Paula and the exciting adventure to come.

The “programmers,” as they are known, picked up name tags and cold bottles of water before making their way to their residence halls — boys in Sts. Peter and Paul, girls in St. Monica. Parents enjoyed tours of the campus, while their sons and daughters settled into their rooms, met their roommates, and mingled among their fellow attendees.

And now, the first night of the program — highlighted by ice-breakers and other fun activities — is under way. Vist the Summer Program Blog tomorrow morning for a recap and photos from tonight’s events!
