This Sunday the Choir at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will perform John Rutter’s Requiem for chorus, soloist, instrumental ensemble, and organ. The event will begin with evening prayer, continue with the concert, and conclude with the Choir singing in the Cathedral mausoleum. In commemoration of All Souls’ Month, the event affords the faithful a solemn opportunity to pray for the souls of departed loved ones.

Rev. Hildebrand Garceau, O.Praem. (’78), will offer a memorial Mass for Andrew “Kent” Moore (’14) on October 15 in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel. This Mass will provide an opportunity for faculty, students, and family members to pray together for the repose of Kent’s soul.

Dr. David M. Whalen obtained his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in English from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining the Hillsdale College faculty in 1994, he taught at the University of Kansas and Belmont Abbey College. Dr. Whalen has received a Salvatori Fellowship from the Heritage Foundation and a Weaver Fellowship from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
