“Mother of God and our Mother, to your Immaculate Heart we solemnly entrust and consecrate ourselves, the Church and all humanity, especially Russia and Ukraine,” the students of Thomas Aquinas College prayed this morning on both campuses.

At morning Masses for the Feast of the Annunciation, Chaplain Rev. John Mary Chung in California and Head Chaplain Rev. Greg Markey in New England led their respective communities in prayers for peace. Students, faculty, and staff members joined their voices across the miles, as well as with those of believers throughout the world, in accordance with His Holiness Pope Francis and the world’s bishops.

In his homily, Fr. Markey invoked the intercession of St. Joseph and Our Lady to aid the consecration. “We ask the intercession of St. Joseph, we ask the intercession of Our Lady, we ask the intercession of our guardian angels to inspire us to always love the Holy Trinity more and more, and to recognize that is our final destiny.”
