Prospective students will soon be able to experience the intellectual, spiritual, and community life of Thomas Aquinas College, New England, at its next Open House, from February 27 to March 1.

“We are looking forward to welcoming high school juniors and seniors to Northfield in February,” says John Jost, Director of Admissions for the New England campus. “The Open House is an invaluable opportunity for prospective students to gain insight into the unique experience at Thomas Aquinas College. It allows them to engage with our faculty, explore our Great Books curriculum, and get a sense of our vibrant community.”

At the heart of the College’s Open Houses are class visits, where attendees will witness the Discussion Method in action and have the opportunity to meet some of the College’s tutors. “Attendees also get to participate in a discussion of their own led by faculty members,” Mr. Jost explains. “They will listen to talks and presentations and have the chance to ask any questions they may have about the College. Everything we do is aimed at helping them make informed decisions about their future.”

Since the College’s academic program depends entirely on student participation, quality discussions rely on the mutual friendship of the student body. Attendees will experience how campus life strengthens that friendship through camaraderie at meals, events, and in the residence halls. They can look forward to fun afternoons, participating in student-led activities, including a basketball game, a pool party, and a group game night. Additionally, they will get a taste of the community’s strong devotion to the Catholic faith, as two Masses, confessions, and the Rosary are offered every day in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel, which was recently decreed a pilgrimage site for the 2025 Jubilee Year.

On Saturday, March 1, the last day of the Open House, families are welcome to attend the 11:30 a.m. Mass in the Chapel and lunch afterwards in Gould Commons.

“We hope our guests will leave having experienced at least a sliver of what Thomas Aquinas College has to offer its students,” adds Mr. Jost. “Enjoy the program! Don’t leave without having asked what questions you have about the education — or life afterward!”
