Rev. Ramon Decaen (’96), RIP

Thomas Aquinas College has learned the tragic news that a beloved alumnus priest, Rev. Ramon Decaen (’96), passed away Tuesday. A priest of the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska, Fr. Decaen was for 10 years the pastor of Cristo Rey Parish. 

“Father Decaen was a holy, hard-working priest who loved his people with the heart of Jesus Christ,” says the Most Rev. James Conley, Bishop of Lincoln. “He had a special love and devotion to Hispanics in the City of Lincoln. Please keep Father Decaen, his family, Cristo Rey Parish, and his brother priests in your prayers.”

For friends who would like to help with Fr. Decaen’s funeral expenses, his family has set up a GoFundMe page for that purpose.  

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
