Friends gathered in TAC-New England’s Bl. Frassati Student Center on Wednesday for some more autumnal fun: a pumpkin-carving contest!

Students — some working solo and others in pairs — selected their pumpkins and set to work, emptying their gourds’ innards and deciding on designs. These ranged from classic grins to meticulous masterpieces, riffing on both Halloween and religious themes.

The finished Jack-o-Lanterns were lit from within and proudly displayed on the Student Center’s front steps, where the judges studied them to determine the best. In testament to their craftsmanship, Lucy Stoutz (’25) and Stephen Brown (’25) took first place with their carousel pumpkin.
