On the eve of Halloween, students at Thomas Aquinas College, New England, aroused their spooky spirits with a gloomy and rainy pumpkin-carving social — in anticipation of that evening’s Halloween Dance.

As the students carved, they watched the fall soccer season come to a close with the men’s and women’s championship games. On the men’s side, the team led by senior Kevin Murphy held senior Peter Goyette’s squad to a penalty shootout, in which Murphy’s team stood victorious with a final score of 5-4. For the women, junior Anne Berquist captained her team to a victory against senior Sophie Steigerwald, 6-5.
