In a last hurrah before Ash Wednesday, the students at Thomas Aquinas College, New England, threw a casual party for Mardi Gras.

Prefects cooked up delicious New Orleans beignets, served warm with powdered sugar, and set out spiced hot chocolate for their peers. The Bl. Frassati Student Center filled slowly, but surely, as upperclassmen trickled in to enjoy sweet treats and companionship. Students played pool and ping pong, enjoyed delightful conversations, and studied at the coffee shop counter. When the underclassmen finished seminar, they joined the party, too, filling Frassati on the eve of the penitential season.
