Last Friday night, the men of Thomas Aquinas College, New England, arrived at Gould Hall with flowers for the ladies of campus — and to meet their blind dates for this semester’s Dorm Date.

The gentlemen extended an arm to their randomly assigned dates, escorting them to an evening “on the town” — or at least at Bl. Frassati Student Center. Couples sat at tables throughout the capacious hall, playing games, munching on snacks, and getting to know each other better. When they had sufficiently cracked the ice, they cleared the tables to make room for dancing, breaking what little ice remained.

“It was nice to be of service to the community,” said senior Trinity Duggan, who helped to organize the event. “People who don’t normally interact much got to know each other, and it was great to see everyone bonding.”
