Remembering Michael J. Paietta (’83): Prayer and Concert at L.A. Cathedral

This Sunday the Choir at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will perform John Rutter’s Requiem for chorus, soloist, instrumental ensemble, and organ. The event will begin with evening prayer, continue with the concert, and conclude with the Choir singing in the Cathedral mausoleum. In commemoration of All Souls’ Month, the event affords the faithful a solemn opportunity to pray for the souls of departed loved ones.

Among those being remembered will be Michael J. Paietta (’83), an alumnus and longtime tutor at the College who passed away on April 4, 2012. Mr. Paietta’s mother, Kay — a member of the Cathedral Choir — has underwritten the instrumental ensemble in her son’s memory.
