Video: LA Catholics Features Alumnus Musician / Businessman

Earlier this year the Archdiocese of Los Angeles launched LA Catholics Stories, a series of videos about the region’s faithful. For its first profile, the series featured the above video about alumnus Jake DeTar (’11). A husband, father, and musician, Mr. DeTar is also the owner of Detar Music Studios in Santa Barbara, California, which specializes in audio engineering, music production, film scoring, composition, and instruction.

“Being  a voice of light in the music industry is desperately needed in our culture, where you can see so much darkness in the arts,” says Mr. DeTar. “Music certainly is a natural good. And I think we have a real responsibility to care for that natural good.”
