“Real to Reel,” the weekly video-news program of the Diocese of Springfield, Massachusetts, has produced the above report about Floriani’s November 22 concert at Thomas Aquinas College, New England. The video features footage of the concert as well as quotes from the members of the men’s vocal ensemble, all of whom are Thomas Aquinas College alumni: Thomas Quackenbush (’14), Giorgio Navarini (’17), Joseph Daly (’19), and Graham Crawley (’20).

“I co-founded this group with Thomas, Giorgio, and Graham nearly four years ago,” says Mr. Daly. “It’s an outgrown of a student-led group that began at Thomas Aquinas College in California the better part of a decade ago.” Mr. Crawley credits his experience of sacred music at the College not only with the eventual creation of the group but also, more importantly, his return to the Church. “Being in a place where you hear this beautiful sacred music week in, week out,” he says, “and then, of course, joining the choir and being able to do that myself, really helped draw me back into my faith.”

The report also includes a quote from Dr. Steven Cain, dean of the New England campus, who remembers Floriani’s members from his time in California. “I knew all four of them on the other campus when they were students. I had two of them in class,” he says. “Having known them then, and then seeing them now — what they’ve grown into, what they’re doing with their lives, what they’re sharing with the Church — is just inspiring.”
