Dear friend,

It has been a year of great blessings for Thomas Aquinas College.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Irene Grimm, who passed early this morning, as well as for the consolation of the Grimm family — three generations of whom have not only attended Thomas Aquinas College, but have played a vital role in establishing its culture, fostering its spirit, and populating its choirs.

With the end of the semester comes final examinations at Thomas Aquinas College. Throughout the past week, students have come together to work through the Great Books they have studied this past semester, both campuses transforming into places of intensely focused study.

The weekend brought snowstorms to both coasts, covering the campus of Thomas Aquinas College, New England, and the mountains surrounding its California counterpart. Students are busy taking their finals, but they have delighted in the signs of forthcoming winter — and Christmas! — all around them.

For Peter DeLuca (’87), who is seriously ill with a lung infection.

For Deacon Robert Ellis, the father of Tom Ellis (’98), Mother Madeleine Marie of St. Joseph (Mary Kay ’99), and grandfather of Andrew (’22): Deacon Ellis died on December 12, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

For Paul Keating (’98), who passed away unexpectedly todaon December 7: Mr. Keating is the brother of Gene (’91) and Eileen (Douglass ’93).
