On Sunday, October 21, 2012, the College hosted a wine-tasting reception for members of the Greater Los Angeles Board of Regents and their guests. “The Regents are ambassadors who introduce the College and its mission of Catholic liberal education to their friends and colleagues,” says Vice President Paul J. O’Reilly. “This event helped to make those introductions more personal, by letting our Regents bring their friends to campus to see the College for themselves — and to try some fabulous wines.”

In a sunset reception in St. Thomas Plaza, the Regents and their guests sampled a wide variety of wines, both domestic and imported, while enjoying music performed by Thomas Aquinas College students. After the tasting, Regent Domiane Forte (’00) welcomed the guests and talked briefly about the Regents. He then introduced President Michael F. McLean, who spoke about the history and mission of the College. Chaplain Rev. Cornelius M. Buckley, S.J., then offered a benediction.

“The day gave us a nice opportunity to thank some old friends, as well as to make some new ones,” says Dr. O’Reilly. “We look forward to doing it again.”
