Afterward, the College Parents’ and Alumni Associations jointly hosted their fourth annual dinner for graduates and their families in St. Joseph Commons. Tlaquepaque, a popular local Mexican restaurant, served fresh tacos with all the fixings. The dinner marked an opportunity for the Alumni Association to welcome its newest members, the Class of 2018, and for parents to learn how their relationship with the College can continue through the Parents’ Association and its community of faith.

As a token of their gratitude, the Associations presented each family with a bound copy of its student’s senior thesis, a note from Dr. McLean, and several Thomas Aquinas College stickers and postcards. Giorgio Navarini (’17) and his choral group of students and recent graduates, the Floriani, showed their appreciation by performing several a cappella songs for their friends and families. Two videos of their performances are available below:

Rev. John Marie Bingham

“The culture at the College, the community was very formative for me. I saw joyful people living their Catholic faith, doing it to the best of their ability, and not being ashamed of it.”

– Rev. John Marie Bingham, O.P. (’00)

Parochial Vicar, Saint Dominic’s Parish, Benicia, Calif

“I am deeply touched by the quality of the intellectual and spiritual formation that you offer. The study of philosophy should lead to a conviction that truth can be known, articulated, and defended. Your college shows that this is possible, and on a high level!”

– Rev. Wojciech Giertych, O.P.

Theologian of the Papal Household
