Last week, in between Don Rags sections, Thomas Aquinas College students made their way over to St. Augustine Hall for the campus blood drive. United Blood Service set up a makeshift clinic in one of the classrooms, and some 35 students dropped by throughout the day to make their sanguinary contributions.

The medical technicians gratefully thanked students for their donations, rewarding them with points that can be exchanged for prizes (such as t-shirts, movie tickets, or DVDs), plus the customary juice boxes and cookies. The blood drive is a semi-annual event, held at the midpoint of each semester during Don Rags week.
