EWTN: Life on the Rock

The August 9 episode of EWTN’s Life on The Rock will feature a tribute to Andrew Moore (’14), the Thomas Aquinas College student who was struck and killed by a passing vehicle while participating in a Crossroads Pro-Life Walk across the United States on July 20. Guests on the program will include Rev. Dan Pattee, TOR, who serves as a chaplain for Crossroads, and fellow walkers Daniel, Alexander, and Melanie Fedoryka. The show, which will air live both on television and online at 10 p.m. EDT, will be archived after the initial broadcast on the EWTN website. The College will also post embedded video of the program to the Andrew Moore Memorial Page as soon as it becomes available.

Mass, Prayer & Rally in Washington, D.C.

This weekend, members of Andrew’s Crosswalk Team — who decided to complete their trek from San Francisco to Washington, D.C., in his honor — will at last reach their destination. Upon arriving in the nation’s capital, they plan to take part in several memorials to Andrew, specifically:

  • Mass in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 8:00 a.m.
  • Prayer outside an abortion clinic near the White House (1108 16th St., NW), 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Pro-Life rally at the Upper Senate Park Fountain, 12:00 to 1 p.m.

All of these events are open to the public, and College Vice President Paul J. O’Reilly will be attending. If you are in the area, please come help remember this pro-life missionary and the noble cause to which he gave his life.
