Updated: October 10, 2018

Alumni, parents of current students, and their families from throughout Southern California converged on campus Saturday for Alumni and Parent Day. The event began with Mass in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel, followed by brunch in St. Joseph Commons. Later in the morning, the College hosted a seminar, led by members of the teaching faculty, about St. Thomas Aquinas’ writing on the Crucifixion and burial of Christ from the Compendium Theologiae:

In the evening, President Michael F. McLean welcomed parents and alumni at a reception in St. Gladys Plaza, followed by a barbeque dinner with students in the campus picnic area and an ice-cream social in St. Joseph Commons

“It was a blessed time, as always, having so many parts of the community in one place,” says Robert Bagdazian, coordinator of the Thomas Aquinas College Parents’ Association. “We can’t wait to do it again next year!”

Thomas Esser (’18)

“It’s wonderful how, in the integrated curriculum, everything matches up. You’ll be reading one thing in language class, and then it will come up again in philosophy, and goes on to affect everything you read from then on. You get a deeper understanding of each discipline by seeing how they connect with the others.”

“On behalf of the Church in Phoenix, I want to express my appreciation of the witness to Christ offered by the faculty, staff, and students of this exceptional institution, and to thank you for your love of learning and your desire to offer fitting worship to the Blessed Trinity.”

– Most Rev. Thomas J. Olmsted

Bishop of Phoenix
