Alumni & Parent Day 2018: Photos & More

Updated: October 10, 2018

Alumni, parents of current students, and their families from throughout Southern California converged on campus Saturday for Alumni and Parent Day. The event began with Mass in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel, followed by brunch in St. Joseph Commons. Later in the morning, the College hosted a seminar, led by members of the teaching faculty, about St. Thomas Aquinas’ writing on the Crucifixion and burial of Christ from the Compendium Theologiae:

In the evening, President Michael F. McLean welcomed parents and alumni at a reception in St. Gladys Plaza, followed by a barbeque dinner with students in the campus picnic area and an ice-cream social in St. Joseph Commons

“It was a blessed time, as always, having so many parts of the community in one place,” says Robert Bagdazian, coordinator of the Thomas Aquinas College Parents’ Association. “We can’t wait to do it again next year!”

Sanjay Adhikari (’18)

“When I first came here, since I am not a Catholic, I was nervous, because it’s a different culture for me, but people have been so friendly, so charitable. It is such a blessing to live in this community, where people care about you. You make strong friendships that last a lifetime.”

“May God bless Thomas Aquinas College for its excellent performance as a Catholic college since its foundation in 1971, a college where parents can send their children and be sure that this college is maintaining the best ideals of our faith and is giving not only information but formation.”
