Founder, Courageous Concepts

Courageous Concepts is a Catholic company whose mission is to support students with intellectual and learning challenges by giving them the courage to see and use their imagery, one of the most important steps in understanding. It creates a dynamic environment of love and care to help the students achieve confidence, independence in learning, and success. 

Miss Walsh was trained and worked at Lindamood Bell Learning Processes during the summers when she was a student at Thomas Aquinas College. She pursued further specialized training and education with Equipping Minds and is a certified instructor of the Equipping Minds therapy program. She is a kind and understanding teacher, while at the same time encouraging high standards, and loves to have fun with and see her students succeed.

Her talk will include:

  • Her story of how she started this Catholic special education support program 
  • Why Catholic special education so important today 
  • What it is like to work in special education 
  • How the  Equipping Minds therapy program works to help particular students 
  • How a TAC education is good preparation for this field 
  • Her success stories 
  • How students can get involved
