Patrick O’Connell, CFA
Credit Analyst, Alliance Bernstein’s Fixed Income Global Credit Research

Patrick O’Connell is a credit analyst on Alliance Bernstein’s Fixed Income Global Credit Research team. He focuses on emerging-market opportunities in Latin American countries. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. O’Connell was a desk analyst at UBS Investment Bank, where he helped to allocate capital on the trading desk. He previously spent a summer at Merrill Lynch and another at a midsize nonprofit. Mr. O’Connell holds a BS in accounting and finance, magna cum laude, from Villanova University (along with a theology minor) and is a CFA charterholder.

Deirdre O’Connell, MBA
Consultant, Corporate Strategy

Deirdre O’Connell graduated in June with an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She will be starting a management consulting job with Monitor Deloitte in October. Prior to business school, Mrs. O’Connell worked for UBS Investment Bank, covering options and derivatives, along with improving the risk and control framework for the bank. Out of college, she deferred her role with UBS for one year to co-found and direct Pure in Heart America, an international pro-life and chastity nonprofit. Mrs. O’Connell holds a BA in cognitive and linguistic sciences from Wellesley College.

Patrick and Deirdre got married on August 1 this summer and now live in New York City. They met in Stamford, Connecticut, playing on the same soccer and softball teams. In addition they were involved with St. John’s Basilica’s young adult group and helped to start a youth group with Thomas Aquinas College sophomore Siobhan Heekin-Canedy.
