SANTA PAULA, CA-October 29, 2009-Thomas Aquinas College recently appointed three new members to its Board of Regents: Jim Latty of Westlake Village, Patrick Loughman of Ojai, and Jim Tierney of Northridge. Each is a strong supporter of the 4-year, Catholic college located along Highway 150 between Ojai and Santa Paula. Active in their local communities and professions, these new members are well-positioned to serve as ambassadors of the college in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

Says Vice President for Development, J. Quincy Masteller, "We are proud to have these new members join our Board of Regents. They are all committed to making Thomas Aquinas College - which is nationally recognized for its academic excellence - even better known in its own backyard."

Appointed by the college's Board of Governors, Regents are devoted to raising awareness of and cultivating friends for the 38-year-old college. They also support the school's student financial aid fund through various fund-raising events, including the Regent's annual golf classic held at the Sherwood Country Club each spring.
