In February the College requested prayers for Teresa Johnston, the then-13-year-old sister of TAC junior Misha (’18). Teresa was then in critical condition and comatose after being struck by a falling tree, but has had a tremendous recovery.

The Orange County Register reports:

Teresa Johnston was greeted by about 100 people and media crews as she walked out of HealthBridge Children’s Hospital on Friday, April 7, wearing a white helmet inscribed with well-wish messages and accompanied by her parents and six siblings. Children held a “We Love You Teresa” banner, “Welcome Home” signs and balloons, but they kept the cheers to a minimum to avoid over-stimulating the 14-year-old. …

“Teresa has made a miraculous recovery, no doubt in part due to the tens of thousands of people praying throughout the world,” Teresa’s father, Roch Johnston, told the crowd in front of HealthBridge.

Thanks be to God!

“But she has a long road ahead of her,” Mr. Johnston cautions. “There are at least three more surgeries and unknown hours of neurological rehabilitation that await us.”

Please continue to keep Teresa and the Johnston family in your prayers.
