On the eve of Commencement 2014, the Thomas Aquinas College Parents’ and Alumni Associations jointly hosted a celebratory dinner for graduates and their families. Some 485 soon-to-be graduates and their loved ones assembled outside St. Joseph Commons, where Tlaquepaque, a popular local Mexican restaurant, served fresh tacos with all the fixings.

The event marked an opportunity for the Alumni Association to welcome its newest members, the Class of 2014, and for parents to learn how their relationship with the College can continue through the Parents’ Association and its community of faith. As a token of their gratitude, the Associations presented each family with a photograph of the campus, several Thomas Aquinas College stickers, and a St. Joseph prayer card featuring the Parents’ Association’s daily prayer.

“The event was beautiful, and we appreciate all the planning that went into the evening,” wrote Kim and David Dufresne, father of Sarah (’14), in an e-mail following the dinner. “Our lives have been enriched by being part of the TAC family, and having our daughter at the College has been nothing short of a miraculous blessing.”
