On May 14, Thomas Aquinas College celebrated its 42nd Commencement Exercises, honoring the 79 members of the Class of 2016. The day began with the Baccalaureate Mass of the Holy Spirit in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel. The Most Rev. Salvatore J. Cordileone, Archbishop of San Francisco, served as the principal celebrant and homilist:

Following the Mass, just outside the Chapel on the academic quadrangle, was the Commencement ceremony itself, at which April Shonnard (’16) served as the Class Speaker and Archbishop Cordileone delivered the Commencement Address. In honor of his faithful service to the Church, the College awarded His Excellency with its highest honor, the Saint Thomas Aquinas Medallion. The College also took the occasion to honor its librarian of 45 years, Viltis Jatulis.
