In the final school-wide musical event of the year, the Thomas Aquinas College Choir and Orchestra put on a spring concert in the Bl. Frassati Student Center last Saturday.

The first half of the concert was dedicated to Our Lady, with pieces building up to Pergolesi’s magnificent Magnificat. “The whole first act is an ode to Mary, Mother of God,” explained Stephen Grimm (’75), who directs the choir and orchestra on the New England campus. “We start with pieces representing the angel coming to announce the good news, and the Magnificat is Mary’s glorious response.”

Their hosts had hatched a plan to bring the sophomores together to celebrate Easter with a formal dinner and an evening of relaxation. They were joined by chaplains Rev. Greg Markey and Rev. Carlos Viego, the Resident Directors, and Dean Steve Cain and his wife, Mary.
