Deadlines for Submitting Financial Aid Forms

The following tables illustrate the various deadlines for submitting financial aid forms and associated documentation:

 

Deadlines for Incoming Freshmen

Deadline for FRESHMEN

Thomas Aquinas College's Confidential Family Financial Statement [1] (either the U.S., Canada, or International version, depending on the student's nationality) submitted to the College.

MARCH 2, 2013
or 30 days after acceptance, whichever is later.

Free Application For Federal Student Aid [2] (FAFSA) submitted online or paper copy sent to federal processor.

or 30 days after acceptance, whichever is later. Cal Grant applicants must submit a FAFSA by March 2, 2013.

A signed copy of parents’ and student’s federal tax returns with all W-2s, schedules, attachments, and K-1s, submitted to the College.

  

APRIL 15, 2013 (postmark)
or 30 days after acceptance, whichever is later. Any early financial aid awards are tentative until the College receives and reviews the required tax information.
 

Cal Grant GPA Verification Form* [3] submitted to the California Student Aid Commission.

Be sure to make a photocopy and obtain a Certificate of Mailing from the Post Office.

Sophomores in 2013-14:
Since you have fewer than 24 college credits from Thomas Aquinas College as of March 2013, you must submit a high school GPA or a qualifying GPA from another college. Be sure to make a photocopy and obtain a Certificate of Mailing from the Post Office.

Juniors/Seniors in 2013-14:
Since you have more than 24 college credits as of March 2013, Thomas Aquinas College will submit your college GPA on your behalf by
March 2, 2013.

* Thomas Aquinas College expects all financial aid applicants who are permanent residents of California to apply for a Cal Grant each year, unless they already have a Cal Grant award.
