On February 10, nationally syndicated radio host Hugh Hewitt hosted his three-hour program live from the campus of Thomas Aquinas College. Providentially Mr. Hewitt’s visit coincided with the nationwide outcry [1] about the forthcoming federal mandate that requires Catholic organizations to fund health-insurance policies that cover contraception, sterilization, and abortifacients. Thomas Aquinas College has joined many other faithfully Catholic institutions in resisting this violation of religious freedom [2].
Naturally Mr. Hewitt interviewed College officials, students, and other guests about the mandate, but he also spent considerable time discussing the College itself — its history [3], its Catholicity [4], its unique academic program [5] and pedagogy [6]. Below are podcasts and videos from the show:
