On March 6, 2006, the College welcomed Mr. Robert Bagdazian as the new Director of Development. Appointed to this position on the administrative faculty, Mr. Bagdazian’s principal area of focus is the College’s President’s Council .
Comprised of generous benefactors who support the College with an annual gift of $1,000 or more, the President’s Council is the backbone of the College’s annual fundraising imperative. Mr. Bagdazian’s serves as a liaison from the President to these generous benefactors, personally thanking President’s Council members for their critical support, and encouraging other friends of the College to become members .
Mr. Bagdazian brings to the position five and a half years’ experience as the Regional Director of Catholic Charities in Ventura County, Calif. In that capacity, he was responsible for the operation of numerous services and outreach programs for the poor of the Ventura County area.
Mr. Bagdazian graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a BS in human development. He later earned an MSW in social work with a medical health concentration from California State University, Sacramento. He worked as a counselor and social worker for many years in hospitals and other institutions where he served as a department supervisor and patient advocate, assisting the chronically ill and disabled.
Robert and his wife, Mary, are the proud parents of five children: Daniel, Gabriel, Xavier, Samuel, and Clare Marie.
