Weekend Slideshows: Film, Volleyball & Dance
On Friday night, tutor Phillip D. Wodzinski hosted a screening of Wagner’s Dream, a documentary about the debut of the Metropolitan Opera’s production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle, in the student lounge. A discussion followed the viewing, after which students retired to the coffee shop for iced drinks and board games:
On Saturday, despite the heat of the Indian Summer, a group of hearty students took to the sand volleyball courts to get in some practice.
Each fall the sophomores, juniors, and seniors take turns hosting welcome events for the new freshman class. On Saturday night the juniors took their turn, throwing a “West Coast Story” dance in St. Gladys Plaza, complete with swing-dancing, refreshments, and skits:
