Real to Reel, the Diocese of Springfield, Massachusetts’ weekly TV news program, recently aired the above report about the first regularly scheduled Mass — and the reservation of the Blessed Sacrament — on Thomas Aquinas College’s newly acquired New England campus.

“Now that we are reserving the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle, to have Our Lord really and truly present on campus is a great step forward for us,” says President Michael F. McLean in the report. “I think it is a further sign that this is in God’s providential plan, that we come to Northfield and succeed.”

The report also features Dr. Thomas J. Kaiser, associate dean for the New England campus, explaining why the College decided to repose the Eucharist nearly six months prior to the start of classes. “I was here a few weeks ago, and I just felt like there was an absence,” says Dr. Kaiser. “We needed the Real Presence here on campus. So it is just a blessing to now have the Blessed Sacrament here and the chapel being used on a weekly basis. We will be coming in here to pray every day.”

Masses are now being offered on Saturday mornings in the New England chapel, followed by light refreshments and campus tours. To schedule tours during the week, please call 800-634-9797
