“Students, faculty, governors, administration, alumni, and family members gathered to witness history,” reports Steve Kiltonic in the above video, “as Thomas Aquinas College, New England, became only the second Catholic institution of higher education to open in the Diocese — and the first in nearly a century.”

A reporter for the Diocese of Springfield, Massachusetts’ weekly TV news program, Real to Reel, Mr. Kiltonic was on the College’s new campus for its first-ever Convocation in August. For his report, he interviewed College President Michael F. McLean, several students, and the Most Rev. Mitchell T. Rozanski, Bishop of Springfield, Massachusetts.

“We have another Catholic presence in the Diocese of Springfield, and a college that is very rich in the Catholic tradition, rich in the intellectual tradition,” His Excellency tells Mr. Kiltonic. “This is really a powerhouse of Catholicism in the northern part of the Springfield Diocese.”
