Every year at Thomas Aquinas College, after completing their last exam, the seniors descend upon St. Joseph Commons for a favorite tradition: the Senior Boast. With as much noise and fanfare as possible, the soon-to-be graduates raucously announce how much work they have completed over the last four years — and how much remains for the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen — as measured in tutorial hours, seminar hours, final examinations, papers, and, of course, a senior thesis.

This year, alas, the Senior Boast must take place virtually, but what it lacks in proximity it more than makes up for in heart. Conceived and compiled by Cecilia Cammarota (’20) and Abby Hidley (’20), then edited by Antonina Niznik (’20), the above video artfully portrays the passion and joy of a class that took on fires, mudslides, and pandemic — to say nothing of 1,775 tutorial hours, 350 seminar hours, 6 Don Rags, 11 papers, 42 finals, and one Senior Thesis — on its way to graduation.

Congratulations to the Thomas Aquinas College Class of 2020. We love you!
