Catholic traditions guide campus marking 40 years

Thomas Aquinas College was founded 40 years ago to preserve traditional Catholic education in a world where other Catholic colleges gradually were growing more liberal.

As it celebrates its 40th anniversary, Thomas Aquinas is sticking steadfastly to that mission, requiring that students read the classics rather than textbooks, live in single-sex dorms with 11 p.m. curfews during the week and address each other as "miss" or "mister" in class....
