The women of Thomas Aquinas College met on the campus fields Saturday morning for the annual “Powder Puff Bowl” — a friendly game of flag football, with their male classmates serving as coaches and referees. The two squads arrived early to warm up, while fans gathered and several students played music and told jokes over the loudspeakers.

At 10 a.m., the game started. It was a defensive struggle from the very beginning, with neither side able to put the ball in the end zone. Finally Suzanna Kolbeck (’16) scored a late-game touchdown to give the upperclassmen a hard-fought, 6-0 victory.
