Some 750 people from the greater Los Angeles area descended upon Ojai’s Libbey Bowl on Sunday for a concert hosted by Thomas Aquinas College:

On a glorious afternoon with perfect spring weather, the student group Chrysostomos opened the performance. Directed by Thomas Quackenbush (’14), Chrysostomos sang a selection of European and American motets and hymns, many of which appear on its new CD, Triumph Over the Grave. Next, the Thomas Aquinas College Choir, directed by Daniel Grimm (’76) took the stage, performing some of the world's best-loved opera choruses. Finally the two choirs came together to sing Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and then led the audience in “God Bless America.”
