Some much-needed rain fell in Southern California today — a blessing for the region, but a minor obstacle for some 260 Thomas Aquinas College students who will be heading to San Francisco tonight for the Walk for Life West Coast. Due to the weather and rush-hour traffic, the four buses that were supposed to pick up students at 3:45 this afternoon have been delayed until sometime later this evening.

But the walkers are not deterred! They are waiting patiently in St. Joseph Commons, studying, playing cards, and keeping comfortable until the buses arrive for their seven-hour, 350-mile journey. They have heard some encouraging words from this year’s Walk organizers, as well as from Director of Admissions Jon Daly, and they will gladly sleep through the night on their buses if that’s what it takes to get to San Francisco in time to walk for the unborn on Saturday morning.

Please pray for their safe travels and their witness!
