Dear Faculty and Staff,

I have now gotten to the point where I can put together consecutively an idea or two, and before regressing I want to say thank you to all those who wrote to me and to all who prayed and hoped for my welfare. If I could, I would write each and every one of you, but that would really be testing my powers.

The next best thing is this short letter telling you how deeply moved I have been by the overwhelming outpouring of prayers, affection, gratitude, and Masses, and how greatly these have helped me during a difficult time. You invoked the Divine Physician’s healing upon me, and it seems to be coming about, and for this there is no adequate return.

Please know that all those who have helped me in any way through my present difficulties have been in my prayers, works, and sufferings since the beginning. I have offered it all up for those who have asked me to do so, and for all those who helped me in so many ways. I will continue to do so.

May you all experience a blessed Christmas season this year, and look forward to what God will ask of us in the coming years.

Sincerely yours in Christ Our Lord,
