Please pray for Norm Goyette, Jr., the father of Thomas Aquinas College Dean John Goyette, who passed away December 7 after a brief illness. “Norm and his wife, Marian, have been loyal friends of the College and have been among our most generous benefactors over the past 40 years,” says President Michael F. McLean “They are also the parents and grandparents of a number of alumni and students.”

There will be a viewing in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel on Sunday, December 16, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Monday, December 17, at 11:00 a.m., also in the College chapel, followed by interment at Pierce Brothers Cemetery in Santa Paula. At the conclusion of that ceremony, guests are invited to return to campus for a reception in St. Cecilia Hall.

Mr. Goyette was the father of four graduates: Patty (Hierro ’86), John (’90),  Rev. Michael (’94), and Joseph (’95). He was also the grandfather of two graduates, Elizabeth (’15) and Cecilia (’17), and four current students, Robert (’19), Maria (’21), William (’21),  Peter (’22), and Therese (’22).

Please pray for the repose of his soul and for the consolation of his family.

Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
