College Governors Tour New England Property

In anticipation of tomorrow’s transfer ceremony — in which the National Christian Foundation will formally donate to Thomas Aquinas College a campus in Northfield, Massachusetts — President Michael F. McLean and members of the College’s Board of Governors today toured the property. As part of the tour, the group visited  residence halls, the gymnasium, administrative and classroom buildings, and the campus chapel.

Joining the group for the chapel portion of the tour was the Most Rev. Robert Joseph McManus, Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, who offered a blessing for the College and the building:

The group also paid a visit to the Moody Auditorium, a 2,300-seat on-campus facility that the College will share with its new neighbor, The Moody Center. There College officials met with representatives of the Center, as well as of the National Christian Foundation (NCF), to whom Dr. McLean offered some informal words of greeting and gratitude:

At a public ceremony on Tuesday morning, the NCF will transfer ownership of some 100 acres of land and 20 buildings to Thomas Aquinas College. By God’s grace, and contingent upon the approval of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, the site will become the home of the College’s New England branch campus, which will open its doors to students in the fall of 2018.
