College Consensus, an online aggregator of college-review guides, has ranked Thomas Aquinas College No. 76 on its 2019 list of the 500 Best Colleges and Universities and No. 33 among national liberal arts colleges.

Designed to be comprehensive, the College Consensus rankings combine those of prominent publishers — such as the Wall Street Journal, U.S. News & World Report, and WalletHub — with those of various student-review sites to produce an aggregate rating. “It’s crunching the numbers, pure and simple,” the editors contend, “to see which colleges the experts admire, and which ones the students love.”

Notably, the College is the youngest institution to crack the Top 100 on the College Consensus list. It is also the only one of the now-numerous new Catholic colleges founded since its own establishment in 1971 to be included. Additionally, the aggregator has placed Thomas Aquinas College among the Top 10 Catholic Colleges in the U.S., No. 18 on its list of 50 Underrated Colleges Doing Great Things, and No. 34 among the 100 Best Small Colleges.

College Consensus’ rankings are in keeping with several recent, prominent assessments of Catholic institutions: USA Today placed Thomas Aquinas College on its list of “The 10 Best Roman Catholic Colleges in the U.S.”; The Newman Guide includes it as one of only 17 recommended, faithfully Catholic institutions nationwide; and the National Catholic Register features the College in its annual “Catholic Identity College Guide.” The College also ranks among the top in the nation in wholly secular guides, such as U.S. News & World ReportThe Princeton ReviewKiplinger, and the Association of College Trustees and Alumni.
