College Consensus, a new online aggregator of college-review guides, has ranked Thomas Aquinas No. 7 on its list of the Best Catholic Colleges of 2019, or “the Catholic schools in America recognized as the best across the board.” The College is the only one of the now-numerous new Catholic colleges founded since its own establishment in 1971 to be included on the list.

Designed to be comprehensive, the College Consensus rankings combine those of prominent publishers — such as the Academic Ranking of World Universities, the Wall Street Journal, and U.S. News & World Report — with those of various student-review sites to produce what it calls a “consensus rating.” In addition to placing Thomas Aquinas College among the top 10 of all Catholic institutions, the aggregator lists its student (82.5) and college-guide (66.0) ratings well above the national averages (71.3 and 53.6, respectively).

College Consensus’ rankings are in keeping with several prominent assessments of Catholic institutions: USA Today places Thomas Aquinas College on its list of “The 10 Best Roman Catholic Colleges in the U.S.”; The Newman Guide includes it as one of only 15 recommended, faithfully Catholic institutions nationwide; and the National Catholic Register features the College in its annual “Catholic Identity College Guide.” The College also ranks among the top in the nation in wholly secular guides. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance recently ranked it No. 1 in the United States on its list of the 400 Best College Values, and the College has similarly achieved top ratings from U.S. News & World ReportThe Princeton Review,  and the Association of College Trustees and Alumni.
